Channel 4 Show Calls for Women to Talk About their Involvement in the Women's Liberation Movement of the 1970s.
19 Nov 2008
BLAST Films and Channel 4 are currently producing a major series examining
five seminal moments from the Queen's reign.
Alongside talking to those who were directly involved, they will include a
selection of other interviews which will add social colour to the films.
One of the episodes we will look at the year 1974,
focussingonthe way women connected to the Queen, not only as
Head of State but as a woman too.
Did she represent an outdated, traditionalist view
that was holding women back?
They would like to speak to any women who were
actively involved in the Women's Liberation Movement of the
70s, who might feel able to comment on the changing status of
women between the 1950s and the 1970s.
