"One in four women will suffer some kind of abuse in their lifetime just because they are female."

Nerys Evans, AM for Mid and West Wales (Plaid Cymru) has launched a new Blog which highlights the severity of Domestic Abuse and aiming to start a national debate on the subject.

In July 2008, Nerys Evans undertook a confidential survey of Welsh Assembly members and three women Assembly members admitted to being the victims of rape and another told how she had experienced domestic abuse.

In order to get the message across we need women to write a few sentences about their experiences anonymously. It would be beneficial to tell us where you are from, or what kind of job you do, or something to show that these experiences happen to all kinds of women, from all sorts of backgrounds, but only if you are in a position to do so.
