Amicus have worked closely with management to develop employment practices and procedures in the workplace after the need for significant changes had been identified by an ACAS investigation.
Amicus Regional Officer, Andrea Jones, said: "Welsh Women’s Aid has been going through a significant period of change and development which has created challenges for the staff and their representatives.
"Organisational change is never a speedy process and Amicus’ involvement has been fully embraced which has included joint training and development including conflict resolution in the workplace, negotiating skills and team working.
"This has resulted in an effective Joint Negotiating Committee and its members are currently working together to rewrite all the old policies and procedures to make them fit for the organisation in the future.
"Both Amicus and Welsh Women’s Aid recognise the benefits of formalising this relationship for the long-term development and survival of the organisation."
The agreement was signed on the 8th March 2007 by Welsh Women’s Aid Director, Elen Pierce and Amicus’, Andrea Jones.
