Has Women’s Aid helped you leave an abusive partner?

You may have stayed in a Women’s Aid refuge, or been helped by the Wales Domestic Abuse Helpline. You may have been supported by Women’s Aid in the community or your children may have been helped in school.
Sharing your story can let other women who are living with domestic abuse know that they’re not alone and that there is support available.
Welsh Women’s Aid is frequently contacted by journalists working on domestic abuse related stories and who want to talk to women and young people who have survived domestic abuse. The words of someone who has experienced and survived domestic abuse is often the best way of helping others understand the reality.
You can talk to journalists anonymously and you won’t have to have your picture taken. We will always prioritise your safety and we will support you throughout the process.
If you’d like to share your experiences to help other women know that they’re not alone, please contact Amy Kitcher, in confidence, on 02920 390 874 or e-mail Amy
