TRAINING PROGRAMME
Welsh Women’s Aid is committed to delivering high quality training for its member groups on an ongoing basis. The circulation of the WWA Annual Training Needs Analysis to all groups at the end of the year provides the ideal opportunity for members to contribute to the design of the training programme for the following twelve months. National Workers also provide valuable input to this process using information gleaned from Special Interest Groups and external fora.
WWA now operates a Rolling Programme of training, with WA groups receiving regular updates on course availability. It is strongly recommended that bookings are received prior to the final booking date as the decision about viability of all courses has to be taken by then and insufficient numbers may result in the cancellation or postponement of some training.
Places can be booked through Rhian Jones, the Training Coordinator, or Emma Harris.

EXTERNAL ORGANISATIONS
External organisations can now book places for female delegates on our Training Programme courses provided that there is spare capacity. Their fees are not subsidised.

IN-HOUSE TRAINING
National Staff are now available to provide in-house training for WA groups at their premises for a flat rate of £200 per day plus travel and subsistence. This will be beneficial if several people require the same training and it is difficult for them all to be away from the group at the same time or the training needs to be tailored to the specific requirements of that group.
ACCREDITATION
We have now obtained funding for an Accreditation Project Co-ordinator for 2 years. The newly recruited worker will liaise with All Federations on the accredited training which is currently under development. Wales will pilot the new training, probably in 2008, and this will put us at the forefront in this area.
